Proper Use and Care

During the unit’s first use or if the unit has not been in use for 60 days, it will be necessary to either hand crank or use the solar panel for approximately three to five minutes in order to activate the internal battery. Do not look directly in the LED flashlight or room light as it may cause eye damage. Keep the unit away from corrosive liquids and chemicals.

Battery Care

As with all battery-run devices, proper upkeep is critical for the prolonged function of this unit. If the unit is left to sit for long periods, the battery can drain and even become inoperable. Make sure to charge the battery every few months to extend its life and performance.

When I ordered this, it was a great deal: 40% off with a 2$ off coupon! I couldn’t pass this deal up as I am in Northern California dealing with the crazy storms and wanted an emergency flashlight in case our power goes out. Way safer than candles! When it arrived, I noticed that it is super tiny and everything works great. The light is very bright too. I should note that it does not come with a C- connector, only the other connector for androids and a iphone/ipad adapter. So I just have to use one of my C- USB cords that I have around the house, no biggie. It fits great in my purse! A++

I couldn’t imagine not having something like this now that I have it. Will be looking into a larger version. Go ahead and get one. It’s way more than worth the price point and does not seem cheap at all.

  3. Aadarsh (verified owner)

Mimics the reception and clarity of transistor radios long ago with extra add-ons to boot. It doesn’t take too many cranks to use as a flashlight and radio, for it holds a charge very well. I’m contemplating in buying another one or two?

  4. Nicholas (verified owner)

I left it by the window and cranked it and it definitely turned on the lamp and radio. I should have but didn’t realize how small it is. It’s about the length of a 16 oz peanut butter jar and half the width. It’s perfect as far as what I was looking for.

  5. Hayden (verified owner)

I’m quite pleased with this little unit. It may not be perfect, but it’s only twenty bucks, so it gets five stars. Amazon says it has a 1000 mAh power bank, but the included manual says it’s 1200 mAh. I would estimate it’s between 1000 and 1100 mAh.
