Tastes nice. Helped settle my aching belly. For me this is comfort food. Makes a quick easy snack with just hot water. Sometimes I’ll add some fish or dehydrated corn. 10 minutes in an instant pot. It’s so simple.

I buy Augason products when they are on sale. Been doing this on and off for a few years now. Always been a bit of a “prepper”, since I was a toddler it seems, haha (In my 40s now). I has served me well through power outages, sicknesses, unemployment, and even bigger stuff like the pandemic, and now… *vaguely gestures around* everything else that is going on. I’ve never been one to be without when anything has come up. I never did “emergency food” if only because I didnt have the budget. I would stick with typical foods and try to store them well. Well now I have a little more wiggle room in my budget, and with the on and off sales of long term storage (20+ years), I take advantage when I can. I remember buying some Augason eggs back in 2019 for $19. Today? $33-56 for same container, depending on the day.

Made potatoe soup per instructions. Too thick, (like gravy thick) so added more water to thin. Added dble amt of water than listed on instructions. Then perfect soup thickness.
After that I added 1/4 cup of the dehydrated mushrooms & 1 can drained corn to make a potato corn chowder soup. Delicious!

i didn’t realize these have a shelf life of 20 yrs if unopened. i bought this because the entire household loves cheddar broccoli soup, and i figured this was big enough to last a while. i opened it right away and made it for dinner that night, my kids love it! the broccoli is a tad on the firm side, if you don’t cook it long enough to soften them. other than that, the taste and size is perfect! i add shredded cheese and frozen/fresh broccoli florets to the soup as it’s cooking and it makes it heartier and fills everyone up. i 100% recommend!!

I need to preface this by saying I have an extremely picky 10yr old. If one thing doesn’t taste “right” he simply doesn’t eat. One thing he does love is broccoli and cheese soup, and only from a certain popular brand. But soups are skyrocketing in price and the cost just doesn’t justify the small amount of soup.
Enter this, Auguson Farms Broccoli and Cheese soup.
After reading reviews about the broccoli being tough, I cooked it according to package directions, let it simmer a bit longer than required, and then let it sit on the stove for a few minutes more. I tried a piece of broccoli, PERFECT. Any long stems I had found while pouring, I just crumbled in my fingers and added to the pot.
