I seen other reviews I’ve seen showing the can like half empty when they got it.
I don’t know what happened to their can, but my can was fine, just like with potato chips you’re going to have to have air & space. I got one picture showing where I put my finger down in the can to show how far it went up.
I mean I have a little space at the top, but these strawberries are really good and you get a whole lot for what you pay for it, it’s a big can, and I was surprisingly surprised.
I’m eating them now and they are really good and fresh

I was hesitant to order because of a few bad reviews, but I’m glad I went for it! Got a near-full can (settling happens, people), fully sealed, not dented. Cracked it open and grabbed a few to taste. They are a bit tart, definitely full strawberry flavor, YUM! I’ll be crushing/pulverizing them into powder to use in my buttercream frosting for strawberry cupcakes. I’m not worried about the bit of tart because all the sugar in the frosting should balance things out nicely. I’m glad I went with my gut and bought this. May check into other fruits for other frosting flavors 😉

I bought these strawberries and I ate the whole thing in about 3 days, lol…You won’t regret this buying this they are so worth the money. I am definitely going to buy some more and they are made & packaged in the USA so that is even a better reason to buy from these people. Blessings ❤️

Amazing!! This is some top quality freeze dried strawberries. They’re a lot bigger than I thought, so they didn’t skimp. This can has more strawberries for half the price that you can find them elsewhere, and the quality is great.

I bought this intending to keep it as part of my emergency supplies but ended up using it when I was laid up at home sick and didn’t have the energy to go grocery shopping.

The kids love freeze dried fruit but it is so darn expensive. Even buying at bulk membership stores wasn’t really saving much. I decided to buy 2 cans of strawberries and a banana can because teenagers will eat food by the handfuls if they like it. Well they like it and it’s been almost a week and the first can is 3/4 empty. I’m going to hide the second strawberry can. The banana can is liked but it hasn’t been eaten with the same vigor as the strawberries. I think it’s because the bananas don’t crush up like the strawberries do. I normally only eat bananas when they are exactly yellow with a tiny bit of green on the edges, that was green, no brown. I hate overripe bananas and the smell of bananas in general. These bananas are awesome and I’ve eaten quite a few of them plain. I didn’t care for how they rehydrated but then again, I don’t like bananas. I think I’ll go ahead and get the apples next. Well worth the purchase.

I have no doubt that this item is amazing considering all the other reviews I’ve read about it. That alone made me jump at the chance to order myself two cans. I intended to immediately open one to use right now and then save the other one to use later on and purchase more depending upon how well my family liked the can we opened. Here’s where I should have paid more attention to the comments in the reviews but didn’t, and it was a mistake to overlook this. I too, found out that I’m unable to get one of these cans opened up with any of the can openers that I currently own.
Upon further investigation I went to the manufacturer’s website and they suggested that in order to open up one of these cans you should use an industrial sized can opener or one claiming to be heavy duty!
No where on this item description do they bother to let customers know this in advance of making a purchase! So now I suppose I’m expected to also make a purchase for an appropriate type can opener so that I can enjoy the item I’ve already purchased.
Just FYI, if you don’t own the appropriate type opener, toss it in with your order for this or you can just plan on sitting this can aside. The lid sits down too low for a regular can opener to reach it in order to make a cut.
I won’t take away from the product when this information should have been disclosed by the seller, Amazon in order to inform the customers about the product they’re buying beforehand.
Update ***My Son worked at opening this can with the can opener that I already owned and that I had been trying to use. He finally managed to get it opened but he had a mess with lots of loose slivers from the steel can that we had to be very careful about not getting mixed in with the strawberries. We used tape to catch the slivers and then wrapped the edge of the can with the tape so we could dump the strawberries into a large ziplock bag.
My can was more than 3/4 full and the strawberries are amazing, just as others have mentioned. We made a strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting and tossed in some of these strawberries to bake in the cake mix and it was delicious!
This is a wonderful purchase with the exception of having difficulty opening the can. A heavy duty can opener or access to a commercial can opener would be very helpful. Maybe a school or senior center would open the can for you if asked or a restaurant owner.
